Civil Weddings

Our Civil Wedding Licence means you can choose from our three fantastic venues at Kilworth House Hotel to hold your marriage ceremony as well as your wedding celebrations. Civil Partnerships

The making of a lifelong commitment is an event worth celebrating. It’s an unforgettable day to be shared with friends and family – ideally in unforgettable surroundings.
Arranging your partnership is straightforward because Kilworth House is already an approved site for the registration of civil ceremonies. All you have to do is notify the registrar in advance and if you are not sure about the procedures, call us on 01858 880058 – we will be happy to help.

The Wordsworth Room

WORDSsquareThe Wordsworth Room, with its domed ceiling and glittering chandeliers, is a perfect venue for wedding ceremonies.





The Library Restaurant

LIBRARYsquare The Library restaurant decorated in rich shades of red with gold and black offers a luxurious ambience.
The bookcases and Victorian fireplace create welcoming surroundings overlooking the knot garden with access through double doors to the large water fountain.




The Shakespeare Room

SHAKEsqaureThe Shakespeare Room brings intimacy and grandeur to a marriage ceremony and can accommodate both marriage ceremonies and subsequent celebrations.





The Orangery

ORANGERYsquareOur fully restored Victorian Orangery is an awe-inspiring wedding venue. With glorious rural views and a vibrant natural light, the Orangery will cast its magical spell over your ceremony.





Booking your registrar
If you wish to hold your marriage ceremony at Kilworth House Hotel you must telephone the Registrar to check availability. By law only the Registrar can book your marriage ceremony and without two Registrars your marriage cannot take place. Until you contact the Registrar you have only booked the room at Kilworth House Hotel, not the marriage ceremony. If the Registrars are not already committed they will be happy to take a booking from you, however availability cannot be guaranteed. The Registrar can be contacted on 0116 305 6565. Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm.

The Registrar will not accept a booking for your marriage ceremony unless you are legally free to marry, ie neither of you is awaiting a Final and Absolute Divorce Decree. Leicestershire Registration Service – County Hall, Leicester Road, Glenfield, Leicestershire, LE3 8RN

Important Notes on Booking Your Marriage Ceremony:
Ceremonies and subsequent celebrations in the same venue will require different seating, table layouts and separate room hire charges. Wedding ceremonies must be accompanied by a full wedding package.
