Saturday 10th October 2020

It was early July 2019 when Sue was diagnosed with cancer – an old melanoma behind her eye which had been removed, we thought, successfully removed some 15 years prior had reappeared but this time in her liver. With all of the latest advancements in cancer treatment, we hoped for, and were confident of, a good outcome and Sue was in good spirits and still working in July and August. Sue was admitted to hospital at the end of September and moved to a palliative ward a few days later. Sue went home on October 9th and passed away early the following morning.

Sue had been employed at Kilworth House Hotel and Theatre for 15 years and was known very well to so many of our guests. Sue was a very much loved member of the team and the Kilworth Community.

We are holding a ball in memory of Sue and to raise as much needed funds for our nominated charity CRUK. We do hope that you will be able to support this event: The evening will comprise of a glass of Prosecco on arrival, three course dinner plus coffee in the Orangery and dancing until late to a top showband in our special night-club marquee.

There will be a raffle on the evening and an opportunity to donate to CRUK.
