The Wordsworth Restaurant is more than a room, it's an experience
- one that has been central to dining and entertaining at Kilworth
House for several generations.
This gloriously ornate restaurant with its domed ceiling,
airy lantern, glittering chandeliers, and fireplaces
is an instant spirit-raiser. Even the double oak doors with their
delicate stained glass are an invitation to sample the elegant
pleasures that lie beyond.

dressing for dinner
Many years of experience have taught us that the majority of people dining in our Wordsworth Restaurant enjoy "dressing for dinner". A minimum code has evolved which caters for the overall enjoyment of all guests (and not the hotel), and if we relax the rules we will be upsetting far more people then we will be pleasing.
We therefore operate a dress code and reserve the right to refuse service to any persons unsuitably dressed. To ensure we maintain a mutually enjoyable atmosphere in the Wordsworth Restaurant we would request that guests avoid wearing jeans or trainers, and that they are dressed of smart appearance.
Thank you.
